you ask - we answer

Does my beehive scale/bee scale need maintenance?

The only maintenance work required is recharging the battery once or twice a year. In case of malfunctions, the Wolf-Waagen team can access the scale directly via remote maintenance and support you.

Does the beehive/beehive scale have anti-theft protection?

Yes, because only the key switch (beekeeper mode) can deactivate all alarm functions. If this is not activated, the beekeeper receives a notification by SMS to up to 3 mobile phone numbers.

How do the beehive scales differ?

All hive scales in direct comparison can be found here.

Can I also use my beehive scales/bee scales in winter?

The mechanics and electronics have been designed for year-round operation. However, in the case of free-standing installation, changes in weight caused by snowfall are to be expected, especially in winter.

Do weight corrections need to be recorded?

Weight corrections are no longer necessary due to the key switch built into the beehive scale. Changes made by the beekeeper are automatically suppressed with the help of the beekeeping mode. The hive scale automatically calculates the exact correction value.

Is the weather data accurate to the location?

Our weather data is retrieved from Meteoblue.com with location accuracy. It is possible to find the installation site both via the postal code and by entering the exact coordinates.

What is the measuring accuracy of the beehive scales/bee scales?

The beehive scale has an accuracy of 10 grams.

What is the maximum load allowed?

The beehive scale may be loaded with a maximum surface load of 200 kg.

Why do you need a key for the beehive/bee scale?

You need the key to activate and deactivate the beekeeping mode. The mode is switched on before work begins. Now all changes are hidden. When the work is finished, the beekeeping mode is deactivated again. Subsequent corrections to the bee scale or the online account are no longer necessary.

How long does the battery of the beehive scale/bee scale last?

If default settings are retained (one-time transmission of data/day), a battery life of up to 12 months can be expected. With ApiGraph SMS, the runtime tends to be higher.

What does the evaluation of an SMS stick scale look like?

The ApiGraph SMS sends the data as SMS to the cell phone. The respective data are abbreviated and displayed one after the other. The meaning of the abbreviations can be found in the operating instructions. Data messages can be sent from the scale up to 10 times a day to up to three stored cell phone numbers.
